My studio practice combines drawing, print and painting. I often work with others, in the exhibition of work, as well as in the making of collaborative work, most recently with Kim Barter.
My work is generally about the beauty and meaning that can be found in the everyday, in the mundane and the utilitarian, and in the unremarkable corners of home. It is an exploration of household objects and familiar surrounds, and of the humour, weight and significance of ordinary things. The work is also an exploration of colour, texture and line, and the interplay of representation and abstraction.
